You all must know by now that I’m a fan of Jose Eber Curling Iron.I use it to curl my hair and I’e always loved the big waves it gave me :) After reviewing my recent Hime Gyaru Pictures , it struck me that my hair wasn’t as curly as it should be. The Jose Eber Hot Iron is still super good at curling long hair due to the medium sized barrel. However, due to its size, it doesn't produce enough curls for shorter length hair.
Wanting to obtain smaller curls to complete any Japanese or Korean look, I was once again on the sprawl for a thinner barrel.
Not wanting to spend a fortune, I spotted WATSON’S ceramic curling iron with a slide on brush (19mm) going for a fantastic price of $14 plus…
I was a little hesitant at first because of a negative past experience with WATSON’s Curling Iron. About a year ago I purchased their 25 mm hot iron and when I switched it on,there was a BURNING SMELL from the hot iron that permeated my room. MY GAWD. The smell was so bad that I refused to put my hair anywhere near it.
Ultimately,I was able to overlook that scary incident. A tight budget made me bite the bullet and give in to WATSON’S Dirt Cheap Curling Iron .
Fortunately, for me , I am now IN LOVE with WATSON’s Ceramic Curling Iron (19mm).
If you adopt the horizontal curling method,
with a safely functioning 19mm curling iron, “dirty” hair( not
been washed for a day or so), than you
should be able to achieve those kawaii Japanese type curls.
like so:
I did a EOTD look with recent Tiny haul, which included NYX, CASTLEDEW,GOSH and DAISO False Eyelashes :)
Honestly speaking, I am madly in love with NYX cosmetics. Their color pigmentation shows up wonderfully in pictures and their price range is reasonable.
It was really difficult for me to find a decent looking NYX Eyeshadow in Volcano. They either contain people fingerprints, are cracked or there is simply no stock at Guardian Pharmacy. When I happened to have found this pretty new looking NYX E\S at Paragon, I just had to buy it! I bought 2 colors eventually cause Apricot moose was such a sweet color ...
I have fallen head over heels in love with NYX Ultra Pearl Mania sparkle and shimmer. It looks so good on my yellowish skin tone. A light wash over the lids and some black eyeliner and I’m out the door. I love the pigment concentration in this one. I can’t wait to pick up the other colors!!
NYX Doll Eye Mascara is okay in terms of overall performance. It’s really good for creating LoNG wispy lashes. There is very little curling effect with this mascara, so, to get round this mascara’s shortcoming, I use another curling mascara before piling this on and my lashes look really really good.
Since many of my makeup looks revolve heavily around eyeliner, I just had to get this one by GOSH. GOSH eyeliner is pretty cheap and it isn’t very dark. This allows for steady build up with repeated strokes. I like a creamy formula that is gentle on the lids yet it won’t smudge as much. This is very important for tightlining.
I got these falsies – one from Daiso and the other from NYX, to test out.
I saved the prettiest for last. I bought this because of the packaging and shimmery eye colors that could last me a life time and it came highly recommended by the SA who recommended YAMANO skin lightening cream. I trusted her so much, I bought it after one look.
I had no idea that CASTLE DEW’s palette has been reviewed by quite a few beauty bloggers. MAN, oh man, I’m one slow cow.
